The historic market town’s high street is steeped in history and the cobbled streets are peppered with a unique blend of antique shops, art galleries and eateries amongst traditional butchers and bakeries.

Farmers markets are still held weekly, with local produce sold in abundance.

Kingsbridge Estuary

Running from Kingsbridge in the north to its mouth at the English Channel near Salcombe, Kingsbridge Estuary is nine kilometres in length and serves smaller streams leading to several villages that are perfect for exploring, providing the ultimate playground for paddle boarders, kayakers and dinghy sailors.

The town boasts a myriad of footpaths that navigate woodland trails, estuary rambles and rolling countryside, and as a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this patch of Devon is home to an abundance of wildlife, renowned vistas and a wealth of hidden nooks and crannies.

The Kingsbridge Community

The community found within Kingsbridge is active, established and renowned for being inclusive – it comes as no surprise that Kingsbridge was recently named one of the best places to live in the South West by the Sunday Times! Expect to find an active sports scene, particularly at the rugby club, with an array of clubs and societies to join.

There is much on offer for children including swimming lessons, tennis, football, dance, karate and a newly purpose-built gymnastic centre.

For those in search of a gentler pace, yoga classes run daily, with some taking part at the beach in the summer months.

Nearby amenities are comprehensive with two local supermarkets, a Post Office, library, doctors surgery, and minor injuries hospital all within walking distance.
